Let’s create a better world together!

Children dressed up for a Nativity Play at a local school. Children still have hope, let’s not take it away from them! 🙂

I write this in response to many friends who are appalled at Donald Trumps victory in becoming President elect of the United States of America, and fear what will happen in 2017 when he takes the reigns!

Please don’t feed into the negativity and hate, as you will only give power to him and the parasites that are only interested in themselves and the power and wealth that they can gain from others suffering!  Instead focus on love and togetherness, and work together for good outcomes! Many great things happen by ordinary people, focus on these good deeds!

I’m sorry to say Americans, that this election outcome has been coming to the USA for a long time! The electorate get what they deserve, unfortunately! We reap what we sow…Americans have been living in an illusionary ‘me first’, ‘Americans are best’, ‘we are the most military powerful nation in the world’, ‘us versus them’, and ‘over the top Nationalism’ ethos and mentality for a long time! The fact is America is not number one, China is more economic and plays a more important role globally, and we are One World!

This election has proved that America is a divided nation, with much poverty, racism, inadequate housing to many, inequality, huge demarcations between the wealthy and poor, a struggling education system and a pitiful health system which denies many the right to good health; although Obama tried hard to rectify this! I add here, that this is not only true in America!

Donald Trump managed to get ‘non-voters’ voting, by telling these disenfranchised groups what they wanted to hear! Why isn’t it compulsory to vote in the USA? It’s a shame that so many are ignorant and naively follow a business man with no conscience, and on the ‘war path’, yet the majority are ‘sheep’ buy into ‘fear tactics’ and ‘rhetoric’ and are easily led to the slaughter house! It’s the shadow government, the media, a handful of wealthy families and a handful of banks that ‘run the show’, and Presidents are merely puppets!

We live in times when the world is becoming more fascist, and many of the same elements are in play as prior to WW11! It is only through a collective effort, that we can rise from the trash and embrace a ‘wholistc/holistic’ and ‘collective We’, where we can override the negativity and fear, winner/loser mentality and rise from our collective ashes into a phoenix directed by love! Do we really need leaders that act merely as puppets to the powers that control them? Why are there so many secrets? We must govern ourselves, know and embrace our own ‘power’, then we will choose the best candidates for serving the public!

We must continue to live in our ‘hearts’ and to question the ‘powers that be’ and to question what we read and see in the media, as the majority is  biased, and rhetoric aimed to put fear into the public (that is why horrific stories are repeated over and over again) and we must work together for peace, what is right and humanly possible! There needs to be a change in our Keynesian economics- which does not work in the 21st century- and perhaps never did, as the Earth has finite resources which rules out perpetual growth!

There is definitely ‘power in numbers’, and there is much to gain from positive values! We, together create the reality we perceive and create here on Earth, and it is up to us to dream and create a better dream and reality! Let’s create a better World together!  Let’s do it for our children!  Bridget Cameron

The pig that wanted to sway like the daisies.

Here’s a little fable and illustration I created for children :).

The pig that wanted to sway like the daisies by Bridget Cameron

A pig one day, came across a field of daisies that were waving in the wind. He enjoyed watching the way they swayed back and forth, back and forth and hoped that he could too, sway gently like them in the breeze.
He stood in the middle of the field and asked the wind to blow stronger for him, so that he may sway like the daisies. The wind heard his plea, and began to blow with gentle wisps. The pig could feel the wind against his body, but alas nothing happened.
He then, asked the wind to blow stronger. The wind blew with more might, and the pig felt the gusts of wind brushing against his body, yet found that he still stood still. Then, with his loudest voice he asked, “Please wind, blow with all your might!”
The wind took a deep breath and blew out an enormous tornado. The pig felt the wind come, and began to move at last, and move he did, for he was caught up in the funnel of wind and was swept away to another land. When he finally landed, he lay still in a field of gently swaying daisies.

Moral: Accept yourself for who and what you are. Accept others as they are.

The Christmas Budgie

Here’s a little Christmas poem and picture I created for children. Please share it! I also wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy 2015 New Year!

The xmas budgie by Bridget Cameron

The Christmas Budgie

I have a budgie, whose name is Zoom,
He likes to fly around my living room.

Last Christmas Eve when I wasn’t looking,
He found my Christmas stocking.

He bit a hole, right through the sole,
Then, popped his head right out that hole.

Delighted with his Christmas gown,
Zoom bobbed happily up and down.

He looked so proud, full of Christmas cheer,
It even brought me a Christmas tear.

Then, he started whistling Jingle Bells,
Singing wholeheartedly like Peals.

All on Christmas Eve, Upon my Christmas Reeve.

UNITED WE STAND

Mt Abu people embrace me by Bridget Cameron small for emaiMyself, when I was 20, and some Mt Abu (Rajasthan, India) people share.

To live life with a compassionate and loving heart, to see all people, animals and life as brothers and sisters, to share with kindness and to remove all fear of death, knowing that it is only a transition. These are the keys to our redemption.  We are a dream, part of the greater dream, and our consciousness moves through time…

I think all we need is 50.01% of the population with the power to say ‘no’ to governments, corporations, magnates and media greed and deception, for a change of consciousness to occur on this planet! It’s this thought that keeps me sane. Let’s be the very best we can be, and build a better dream together!  🙂 <3.

Golden One

Golden One by Bridget Cameron.

This is a picture from my children’s picture book, Tickle me Pink. This book introduces colour, tickles and rhymes to young children. I just love the image of this child, so carefree and happy. Such unbridled joy! 🙂

Some things I love

Some things I love

This compilation, is a snapshot of some of my Art. It moves between Australian Summer bushland, an Egyptian waterlilly and watery reflections, to fractal blossoms, butterflies, starry dolphins and children; to the strength of a dragon and a lion. The photo at the bottom left corner is me at one of my children’s fantasy workshops, where a small boy is being sprinkled with fairy dust… I hope you enjoy 🙂

IT’S THE LITTLE THINGS THAT COUNT

IT'S THE LITTLE THINGS THAT COUNT

I’d like to think that most of the time little things matter more than the big things. When you think about it and think microscopically, most of earth is made up of space, space that we can not see, yet just because we can’t see it, doesn’t mean it is not there, and that it is not important. Far from it! Beautiful things like flowers, with their magnificent colour, design and perfume and dew drops, with their rainbow and diamond lustre are simply magnificent and free! Have a look at this gorgeous butterfly that landed on my daughter’s hand. These little things are truly valuable! 🙂

TICKLE ME RED

TICKLE ME RED

Tickle me Red,
when I’m in bed.

This is one stanza of a nursery rhyme I created called, Tickle me Pink. This cuddly and tickly children’s picture book is rhyming and introduces colour.

Lion Heart

LION HEART

When you feel the world upon your shoulders, and you feel you’re falling apart,

dig deep down within, and grab your lion’s heart.

When you’ve given it all you’ve got, and it’s still not enough,

dig deep down within, and grab you’re lion’s ruff.

When you’ve run out of resources, and life appears empty,

dig deep down within and your lion will give you plenty.

When there’s nothing at all inspiring, and you’ve hit a brick wall,

dig deep down within, ‘cause your lion won’t fall.

Image

When life has treated you unfairly, and you cannot forgive,

dig deep down within, and make your lion friend live.

If at first you don’t succeed, don’t fear, the lion will come,

then grab on tight to his mane, and you’ll find it can be done.

For the lion is not scary, he’s your friend, not your foe.

And, if you have any doubts, just let your lion show.

For deep within our hearts, we have a lion’s strength,

so do yourself a favour, just grab your lion’s heart!
