How often do we dismiss the ‘little things’, especially if they are common? In our busy lives, we often forget to ‘stop and to smell the flowers’. It’s a shame, because there is so much intricate and delicate beauty in the smallest life, and this vulnerability deserves respect!
I went for a walk along a local creek, and found a shady spot to listen to bird and insect choruses. It was here, that I watched this butterfly dance and feed upon the flowers. It was such simple delight! 🙂 ❤

By embracing our heart and the light within, we increase our vibration and consciousness, and take our power back. Then, we become the master of ourselves!
Take time out everyday to meditate and connect to your heart. Don’t just accept things at face value, check to evaluate the validity of your beliefs and what you expose yourself to. If they don’t make much sense or no longer serve you, change them! You are in control of your own thoughts and reality!
If we all have amazing thoughts, feelings and actions then we will have an amazing world! Let’s aim for love and peace, and create the best reality we can together, for we are all ONE! Let’s choose LOVE! 🙂 ❤

Adapting to the Changing Fortunes of Time
The key to most of the world’s problems can be resolved through overcoming ‘poverty/scarcity consciousness’ or greed. This needs to be addressed across all classes of people, and especially the very wealthy who often perpetuate ‘global atrocities’ by being greedy(wanting the lion’s share) and by being ‘power-hungry’. True power is being in control of oneself, it has nothing to do about controlling others or resources!
We need to address what is truly valuable, reorient our way of doing things and being, by embracing the attitude that there is enough for all, and by caring for ourselves and others. Then, we will want to share and care for the planet and greed will no longer bind us.
This can only happen through changing ourselves, by embracing our ‘hearts’, not being dictated by our egos ‘heads’, and by being free of fear! But, how do we do this?
Change must come from within. Only when we work on our ‘inner selves’ do we feel the effects of change.
The fallacy that money is standard for character, and that lasting happiness will result from wealth and position, must be dispelled. There is no amount of money in the world that will give a person true self-esteem. This can only be achieved by living in harmony, in balance with life.
True peace of mind can’t be bought. It can be earned by creating good in all areas of our lives. This of course has nothing to do with money.
Life is full of change and to expect things to stay the same is ludicrous. We must learn to flow with the changing fortunes of time. Why become hysterical, angry or depressed about the things that we cannot control?
People often resist change and often do not know how to change gracefully, for we are not educated to know. Many instead become locked into the familiar, controlled like puppets by the media, government, education, religion and familial programs; forever looking outside of themselves for answers. Anything out of the ordinary seems intimidating and many react negatively to anything that does not fit the ‘status quo’ or societal and familial programs that run without question. Learn from experiences and question things, for how else can we truly know something?
Money is freedom if a person has developed the wisdom to be detached from it. Money is merely an exchange of energy, it is nothing more! A secure person can live with or without it, and that is true freedom.
The key is to be grateful for what we have! 🙂 Also, to trust that our needs will be provided, even if this means that sometimes we have to go without. This however, should be accepted without any drama, as part of the ebb and flow of life.
Adaptability, depends on having a strong sense that the circumstances of life are presented for our growth. If a person attracts a situation, it is because they need to learn something. No matter how bad things appear to be, it will pass and time heals.
This simple exercise below is designed to help you if you are overwhelmed by financial worries. I have taken this from Mary T. Browne’s book, The power of Karma, pg 186 .
1. Ask yourself, “ how many hours a day do I spend thinking about money, and how many do I spend thinking about my spiritual development.?” Write down the answer. Ask ourself this question and record your answers, for the next seven days.
If at the end of a week you realise that your finances dominate your thinking, consume most of your time and energy and leave you exhausted, it’s time to adapt your focus. Obviously you are not spending enough time on things of the spirit. You may be wondering how this adaptation is achieved.
2. Adjust your thinking. Simply raise your consciousness to think about things that
promote balance. A few examples are friendship, love, nature, music and most important serving others.
3. Take a few minutes as many times during the day as you can to focus the mind on elements of spiritual beauty.
4. At the end of each day jot down a few words to let yourself know how you are
If your intentions are true, in time you will be amazed to find that worry has been replaced by greater harmony. These treasures are not physical but spiritual. They can’t be affected by the fluctuations in financial markets. They are available to everyone at all times! Once this adjustment has taken place, you will fell a significant change in your disposition. Worry and ‘scarcity consciousness’ will have been replaced by a greater peace of mind, the gift of sharing and happiness 🙂 .

These are the keys to our redemption. We are a dream, part of the greater dream, and our consciousness moves through time…
I think all we need is 50.01% of the population with the power to say ‘no’ to governments, corporations, magnates and media greed and deception, for a change of consciousness to occur on this planet! It’s this thought that keeps me sane. Let’s be the very best we can be, and build a better dream together! 🙂 <3.
* I wrote this article, as many people have come to me feeling guilty and feeling confused as to why they are mistreated. This is only a spiritual (universal laws) explanation, as much overt injustice has more to do with social stratification and pedagogy. It would be nice to see a world without the need to control others, where we can be free to be ourselves naturally without power games :).
KARMA IN A NUTSHELL
In order to truly understand karma, one must understand reincarnation, or the concept that each and every one of us has lived lives before this one and what we do in this one, will lead us onto our next journey into the next realm of experience. We literally take off, where we left off, which is no different to anything else in life. Reincarnation is a doctrine of Eastern Religions and was once part of the Judeo-Christian doctrines, prior to its removal by Church leaders. There were many references to reincarnation, astrology and the law of karma until the Church removed these excerpts at various stages in the past. Two such instances were the council of Trent in 300 A.D. followed closely behind by the Council of Constantinople in 553 A.D, aided by Emperor Justinian and Empress Theodora, who insisted that all references to these concepts be removed from the Holy works, and the Pope acquiesced. They did this because they believed that if people knew that they had the power to control their own destinies and that the unfolding of their lessons occurred over many live times, then the Church leaders would not have much control, if any, over their flock.
This understanding of reincarnation suits a mind that is accustomed to time in the 3rd dimension, that understands time as a sequential event where one moment to the next moment creates the future moment that is ongoing, and where the past is something that has gone before..
I prefer to understand reincarnation from a perspective that allows for parallel universes or existences to overlap, in other words- worlds within worlds within worlds. For instance, we can dream of a future existence, and call it a premonition, or deja vous. The soul has prepared the person for a particular experience by giving a dream sequence of details, images, feelings, thoughts and words, not unlike watching a movie prior to the actual experience. Now during the experience we call it a deja vous moment or upon the instantaneous recollection of the event, a premonition.
How is it then that our dreaming self has forseen the events before the event has occurred? The only logical explanation is that our soul lives out various existences on different planes of existences in different time zones. Our soul can maneouver between the past, present and future, and it can even travel to other time zones and worlds. It is timeless… It is in actuality a multidimensional light being with incredible powers, and as it is the intrinsic life force of us human beings, we ourselves are really powerful beings.
Considering that we understand time in its linear format in this dimension, I will describe reincarnation from the perspective of past lives and/or ancestral body/mind memories.
All of us on our journeys to wholeness, need to learn specific things or lessons in order to grow. We also need to let go of any hindrances which may block our true expression. You see in this world there are many illusions which give us pain and suffering. It is part of the plan to force us to live a dualistic experience where we feel separated by God/Goddess, and to anchor us firmly in the density of matter. It is by reintegrating ourselves at soul, mind, emotional and physical levels that we grow and advance the collective consciousness of the universe and ourselves. We grow together!
At a soul level we are perfect, and archetypically we dream of our own perfection. However imbued as we are in physical vehicle we have limitations. One of our main purposes in life is to move on from our limitations by releasing the old more restrictive perspectives/patterns that hinder our progress and embrace a larger and more unlimited viewpoints. This is why it is best to see life as a game, and not to take it too seriously! :).
As none of us on Earth are perfect, we all have aspects of ourselves in denial at various levels of our beings. Psychology calls it the shadow, and from a reincarnation perspective, these are soul fragments which have not yet reintegrated themselves into the present moment. These denied aspects of ourselves can be repressed emotions from this life also, or they can be ‘carry-overs’ from previous existences, or be part of a familial karmic pattern. In other words we get stuck in time, so to speak, until we recognise these aspects and reintegrate them into the present moment.
Karma is often thought of as “an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth”. This is simplistic and doesn’t take into account the complex processes involved in human growth and evolution. “As you sow, so shall you reap,” encompasses the meaning of karma better, but this doesn’t really do justice to the complexity of this law.
There are two misunderstandings that contribute to the confusion about karma; that we are born bad and that we must be punished for our sins. Both beliefs are related to the Fall of Mankind in the Garden of Eden Myth, which forms the basis of Judeo-Christian thought. The concept that God punishes us, is a childish conception of God. God does not want to punish us or hurt us, for he loves us. Karma is a natural law of the universe and a tool for the evolution of humanity. It is governed by love, as is all life, and it cannot be born of retribution and punishment.
As beings of free will, the choice of working through Karma is decided by each and every living soul, as a lesson we choose to GET better with during this incarnation.
We all have karmic gifts as well as karmic debts. Karmic gifts are those talents and skills and good deeds that we have done in the past in which we are rewarded in the present. If for instance we have a gift for music, then this gift is a product of the work we put into developing our musical talents in the past. We don’t graduate into a virtuoso in only one lifetime! Examples of this can be seen in history from the likes of Mozart, Bach and Beethoven just to name a few. These individuals were composing beautiful music before they learned to read! And, there are times when others do us favors and good deeds without our understanding why they did them for us. These types of bonuses that drop out of the blue, are repayments for for our giving and good deeds in the past.
Karmic debts are those lessons and repayments that need to be made to others which originated from choices that we made in the past that caused serious injury, pain or death. Since balancing a karmic debt involves learning as well as making amends to the victim, the individual is often put in a position of role reversal so that they may understand what it is like to walk in others’ shoes so to speak, and gain the necessary empathy and understanding needed to prevent a similar tragedy from occuring.
If someone steals from you, you can be sure that you’ve stolen from someone in a prior existence. If you receive kindness, compassion, financial aid, or any other apparently undeserved favor from someone in this life, its not undeserved at all! You can be sure that you performed the same service for that person in a previous incarnation, and he or she is magnetised by karmic law to return it now.
Jesus said, “do good unto all those who hate you and say all manner of evil against you.. and if a man strikes you on your cheek, turn and give him your other cheek”. In other words, pay your karmic debts gracefully, without complaining, without bitterness or resentment, and the karmic burden will be lifted from you, provided your graceful acceptance is balanced with a positive act that will balance any former negativity. First accept, then forgive, and then atone. Become at one with yourself in the moment. These are the keys to heal our pasts. We can not heal by continually rehashing our pasts!
Consequently, through the process of karma, we are given lessons and challenges to overcome, so that we may have more moments of embracing the moment in its entirety. When we do this we live in the ‘sunshine of our soul’ and have moments of cosmic consciousness, as we bathe in the love and light of our soul presence which is connected directly with God/Goddess/Universal Energy.
It is up to each and every one of us to make positive changes, to grow and to love. For, if we truly love than we can understand, and through understanding we gain compassion and understanding of others, and it is love that gives us the impetus and passion to fulfill goals for the betterment of ourselves and humanity.
And this is where karma comes into the equation, for to understand karma we must accept the universal unfolding of life, and learn to make the right choices to bring more love and happiness into the world and to leave behind the scars of yesteryear.

Feel beautiful, be beautiful! Do you believe that you are gorgeous, beautiful and a being full of love? If you don’t than read on, for I will try and help you to believe that you are.
At the centre of your being, resides a glorious being, full of beauty and love. The key to getting in touch with your beauty is by embracing it, loving it, nurturing it, and paying attention to your needs.
We are all beautiful beings, unique in our own beauty. It seems a shame to me that, many people think they are ugly because they don’t fit the image of popular media culture. The fact is, we are all beautiful, no matter what our body shape, colouring, or creed may be.
Whether we are young, mature or old, we all have a special something that comes from deep within. We all have an inner beauty, a spark that shines when we smile. We all have an inner perfection, an idealistic self.
Eighteenth century philosopher George Berkeley, proposed a theory of idealism in which says that the real world exists only by virtue of our apprehension of it-that material objects exist only as conceptions, or ideas in our minds. Thus, many of our perceptions are internally constructed, and the amounts of kudos we give them depend upon the amount of emotional input we give them.
Therefore, when we feel awful, we look awful to ourselves, as this is the state of our feelings, even if externally others see us as beautiful. Thus, it is our ‘feeling state’ that makes us feel good or bad, or anything in between.
It therefore makes sense to listen to our feelings, but to also have a certain amount of objectivity about them. What do I mean by this? There is nothing wrong in feeling our feelings, for they are our feelings, and they tell us a lot about our bodies, and our state of mind, as our emotions are linked directly with them. But, when we feel awful, it is not worth drowning in our feelings, for we have a mind that can direct us out of our depressed state, and into a more positive state of mind.
It is this synthesis of body, emotions and mind that link us directly with spirit. And, at our core, our spirits, we are already whole and complete and perfect anyhow.
The psychologist Carl Jung, talked about the archetype of perfection that we all have within us. Thus, although we may not see ourselves as perfect, there is essentially a part of us that already is. And, it is this truth that leads us to heal ourselves, by finding that well of love and beauty that exists deep within us.
So, how do we get out of our state of self-loathing and into a state of mind and emotion that makes us feel good and beautiful?
The key here is to unlock the crap, and recognising the crap for what it is, crap. Crap is negative self-talk, and the negative beliefs and attitudes that keep us bound in a negative state. By recognising the crap, we have the choice to keep it, or to let it go!
But, how do we do this?
The first thing to do is to listen to your bodies and to your mind chatter, and you do this by being still. Do you remember the last time you were really still, with no interruptions, and no people around you?
When we stop, we give ourselves permission to tune into our inner thoughts, our feelings and our bodies. By being ‘still’ we can hear the chatter in our minds, and can feel the discomfort in our bodies. Find a quiet place where you can be uninterrupted. Turn off your mobile, take the phone off the hook, this is your time for you!
I will now take you through a relaxation/meditation sequence, first taking you into your bodies and emotions, and then taking you into your thoughts.
Please sit up, or lie down, whatever position makes your feel comfortable. Relax, take some deep regular breaths, in and out, not forcing the breathing, just letting your abdomen rise and fall comfortably. Concentrate on letting your ‘in’ breath, take the same amount of time as your out breath. You may like to initially count, maybe holding in for 3 counts and then ‘out’ for 3 counts, until you have a regular rhythm that you feel comfortable with.
It is important to breathe abdominally, if you can, letting your breath fill your abdomen. By breathing in this fashion you fill your solar plexus with life giving prana (vital life force) and photons and breathing deeply, mindfully and regularly helps remove anxieties that you may be carrying in your belly. Your abdomen is the seat of your flight/fight mechanism, it is the seat of our instincts. If we are holding onto fears and anxieties, we will feel the tension in our bellies.
When, you have your breathing regulated, focus on stilling your body, making it as still as you can. Feel it heavy, feel it so heavy that you feel yourself becoming part of the floor, or bed, or chair that you are next to. Tell your body and mind to relax deeply.
Now, that you are relaxed, feel your body. Are there any twinges, or aches and pains? Acknowledge them, feel them, touch them, massage them and send them thoughts of love. At this point you may also like to ask your higher self, what colour is needed at those spots and send that specific colour directly. This can aid in the healing process for we essentially ‘light beings’ whether this be the photon particles that are part of our molecular structure, to our auric electro/magnetic fields and soul substance, as the ancients said, the body is a vehicle for the soul.
This now completes the body sequence.
Now it is time to listen to your body’s thoughts. Just let your body float in its own thoughts. Let your thoughts go where they will. Do not try to force them to go anywhere. Listen intently to those thoughts. Now, ask your self what it needs to know now. Are there any messages? Have you noticed any phrases that are repeated? Are you hearing a song? If you are, really listen to its lyrics. What are they trying to tell you?
It may help you initially to write down your most pressing issues, in order to remember them. You may hear your internal voice tell you that you are ugly, or that you are not good enough, or not intelligent enough. You may even hear somebody else’s voice tell you these things. Maybe the phrase was repeated many times, or maybe even once, but you are still carrying it around with you.
Such baggage needs to be addressed, for as long as you are carrying this emotional baggage, your affairs in life will be sabotaged.
Have you ever wondered why people don’t smile at you and give you the attention that you feel you deserve? If this applies to you, then you may be carrying around a belief that says, “ No one loves me”, or “I’m invisible”, or “only people who are glamorous get attention”. These beliefs are of course crap, for no one deserves to be unloved, and unrecognised.
Now, try and remember who initially said these inappropriate and false belief to you. When we are children we have many authority figures (parents, care givers, teachers and perhaps even peers) that influence our actions and our perception of ourselves. That is, we often believe unquestioningly the truth or the validity of others’ statements to us. If other people also say the same things to us and about us, then this only strengthens and conditions this false belief making it a distinction in our minds.
We all carry many of these around with us, some more than others. And, if we want to grow, it is imperative that we deal with our internal baggage.
There are many belief-changing techniques ranging from subliminal tapes, affirmations, visualisations, dealing with unexpressed past emotions in the present (gestalt therapy), disputing irrational beliefs, thought recording (cognitive-behavioural therapy) holographic repatterning, and the use of light in therapy, as well as kineseological (body/emotion) interventions. A combination of all of them are probably the best prescription, however use the one/s that best work for you.
I will now tell you a story about how I overcame the false belief that I was ugly. I remember most of my life feeling ugly. I remember children in the playground teasing me and taunting me, I remember being told that I was ugly by strangers. I also can not remember my own mother telling me that I was beautiful. Because, I believed what these people had told me, I felt that I was ugly.
As I grew up, I didn’t go out very often, and became a recluse. The more I became a recluse, the harder I found it to socialise. After some soul searching, I realised that the reason I felt ugly, was that I couldn’t remember being told that I was beautiful. I could remember people telling me that my freckles were ugly, and that I was fat, and that I that my hair was too thick. At a deep level of my being, I literally believed these accusations as truth, and because I believed these falsehoods I acted in a manner that told others that ‘I was ugly!”
I sat in the bottomless pit of self-loathing for some time, until I had had enough and honestly questioned this belief. “Was I really ugly?” On who’s authority were those people given the right to tell me such things, and why did I believe them in the first place? Why was I even listening to them, instead of my own internal authority? Valid questions don’t you think?
By asking these questions, I also realised that the world can be a mirror, and what we see is often a reflection of our beliefs and what we feel about ourselves; unless people are projecting their own insecurities upon us, and it is up to us to discern the difference! So, I decided to become more sociable, in an environment which was non-mainstream to test my hypothesis, as I’m not into ‘popular culture’.
By becoming active in a musical organisation ( full of artists who are not mainstream), I in fact found the opposite to be true. People would hug me, and welcome me, and invite me out, as they were seeing me as I truly were. Were these the types of behaviours that people would show to someone who was ugly? The answer was no, NO! And, the more I opened up to others and myself, the more I was welcomed.
It didn’t take long, for people to start saying things like, “You’re very attractive and beautiful”, and that is exactly how I was feeling. The more I loved myself, and the more I respected myself, the more beautiful I felt on the inside. And, the more beautiful and loving I felt, the more I attracted others who were beautiful and loving too. And, in time I began to see that we are all beautiful and loving creatures.
So, please don’t listen to those self-loathing voices that tell you negative things about yourself. Deal with the crap the best way you know how. If the crap is dredged up again, recognise it quickly for what it is, CRAP, and let it go! Develop a crap filter in your mind, where you can process it, and disintegrate it, even if that is as simple as saying, “No! I don’t believe you!” and then quickly thinking about the opposite and then doing something meaningful that will distract you from the negative conditioning.
For, you are beautiful, and lovely and deserve to be treated so, if you have done the work! The more you love yourself, the more others will love themselves too, for you will set an example to others to be themselves, for we are after all, in it together!
