Peace in the garden

My first water lily for the season has bloomed in my little garden pond. It is so beautiful, and so is my fish too 🙂 ❤

Peace within, creates beauty without…. Be as the water lily, opening to the rising sun, unaffected by the muddy depths of its birth, or even the water that sustains it.

Day’s End

Relax and watch the changing golden light dance upon the sea, as the day slowly comes to an end; and be inspired by the uplifting and melodious music :).

I love galahs!

” When I look into the eyes of an animal, I do not see an animal. I see a living being. I see a friend. I feel a soul.”  Anthony Douglas Williams.

The galah (Eolophus roseicapilla) also known as the rose-breasted cockatoo.

I heard a familiar  ‘wuaaaaaaawk’, and looked out my bedroom window and watched quietly as a couple of galahs rested in the tall blue gum tree in my front garden. They knew that I was there, and for a while quietly observed me :).

They apparently didn’t mind my intrusion and before long they continued with their antics, hanging upside down, feeding, playing and munching on wood.

The term galah is derived from gilaa, a word found in Yuwaalaraay and neighbouring Aboriginal languages, and colloquially we call them ‘cockies’.

It was utterly captivating and delightful watching them and I felt most privileged and blessed as they had allowed me into their precious lives, and hearts. 🙂 ❤

Peace on the Eve of 2017

As we say goodbye to 2016,  and welcome in 2017, this is a good time to stop and relax and reflect upon the year in passing, and to find the calm and silence within.

To be as still and calm as this tranquil lake, brings peace and awareness, as still waters run deep. I feel grateful to have experienced natures’ bounties on this the Eve of 2017!

I send much love and peace for 2017. May we all find calm and places of great beauty. Blessings to all, Bridget 🙂 ❤

Little things matter

Cabbage White Butterfly (Pieris rapae) drinks nectar from onion weed.

How often do we dismiss the ‘little things’, especially if they are common?  In our busy lives, we often forget to ‘stop and to smell the flowers’.  It’s a shame, because there is so much intricate and delicate beauty in the smallest life, and this vulnerability deserves respect!

I went for a walk along a local creek, and found a shady spot to listen to bird and insect choruses. It was here, that I watched this butterfly dance and feed upon the flowers. It was such simple delight!  🙂  ❤

Forest Mountain Stream

For all whom need a little respite, from life’s difficulties and challenges, I’ve created this video and music. Relax in this beautiful forest and listen to the birds and trickling stream, and let your stress dissolve.  Blessings, Bridget 🙂 ❤

Ocean Womb

This is an old poem that I want to share with you!  It is the experience I had just after exchanging vows with my beloved. All of nature joined in to share our joy, and for one hour or so, I swam with the dolphins and heard the most beautiful music.

Sea Dance by Bridget Cameron

OCEAN WOMB

Looking out towards the ocean from the crest in the dune where I stand, I see an expanse of water that continues as far as the horizon. Where the water meets the sand, waves break, producing foaming froth, as the sea sparkles her brilliance at me. From the froth I visualise Botticelli’s, Birth of Venus as she rides on her shell towards me.

I walk a little further until I reach the beach and sit in quiet contemplation, marvelling many of nature’s secrets, until an urge draws me into the whispering sea…

I splash, I bathe, I run, I skip, I swirl, I swim, I am embraced. I feel like a child wrapped in the arm s of a loving Mother, nurtured and loved we unite as one. She sings to me, she clothes me, I am the seed within her liquid womb.

Small colourful fish swim with me, kissing my body ever so gently, and lead me to an oasis of dolphins dreaming. Two streams of dolphins unite to create future magic. I become part of their dreaming and recall the unfolding of nature’s celestial tunes within the cathedral of my heart. Such ecstasy and beauty fill me, as I ride the rippling diamond sea upon the dolphins’ breath.

The heavens open sprinkling the earth as waves caress my body and land me upon the shore. Standing upright a rainbow bridge joins a golden setting sun and a rising silvery moon.

THANK YOU!

BLACK SWAN LIGHT MAGIC

BLACK SWAN LIGHT MAGIC

Captured this gorgeous image of a black swan, swimming through shimmering star light reflections at St Kilda, Melbourne, Australia. It reminded me of Hans Christian Andersen’s story, The Ugly Duckling; as only when we have gone through our tribulations and dive into our darkness can we find our light and emerge a beautiful swan :).

Some things I love

Some things I love

This compilation, is a snapshot of some of my Art. It moves between Australian Summer bushland, an Egyptian waterlilly and watery reflections, to fractal blossoms, butterflies, starry dolphins and children; to the strength of a dragon and a lion. The photo at the bottom left corner is me at one of my children’s fantasy workshops, where a small boy is being sprinkled with fairy dust… I hope you enjoy 🙂
